We hope you’ll join us for the January installment of the 2021 PAA Webinar Series, Parkinson’s Journey from Despair to Hope. The initial diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease can be overwhelming and depressing. Presented by Vevelyn P. Wilson and sponsored by Acadia Pharmaceuticals and Amneal Pharmaceuticals, this webinar will explore practical ways to move past the dread of diagnosis and move forward with a spirit of hope as the PD journey continues.
Vevelyn P. Wilson, Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), is a Grief Counselor whose husband Dr. Bobby M. Wilson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2014. Vevelyn has provided counseling to children, teens, and senior adults who have experienced loss in their lives. Vevelyn is currently focusing on being the helpmate her husband needs while living with Parkinson’s and has launched a Virtual HelpMate Support Group for wives and companions of men with Parkinson’s Disease. The Virtual HelpMate Support Group meets via Zoom the second Tuesday of each month.
